Flexible Fluidic-Type Strain Sensors for Wearable and Robotic Applications Fabricated with Novel Conductive Liquids: A Review

Flexible strain sensors with high sensitivity, wide sensing range, and excellent long-term stability are highly anticipated due to their promising potential in user-friendly electronic skins, interactive wearable systems, robotics. Fortunately, there have been more flexible materials developed during the past few decades, some important milestones reached. Among various approaches, liquid-type (fluidic type) has attracted great attention its appealing qualities, including flexibility, broad electrochemical window, variety design, minimal saturated vapor pressure, outstanding solubility. This review provides comprehensive systematic development of fluidic-type sensors, especially 10 years, a focus on types liquids used, fabrication methods, channel structures, wide-range applications devices Furthermore, it is believed that this work will be help young researchers looking for detailed study fluidic sensors.
